The BBC is planning to give its website an overhaul, to make it more personalised, allow more user generated content and more audio visual content. From tomorrow internet users will for the first time be able to search for details of the corporation's entire programme catalogue as far back as 1937, for the life of me i can't really think of anything from that long ago i'd be interested in. Though if they have some of the good documentaries or old football match footage it may be worth a gander.
As it stands I think the BBC's website is pretty good already, can't be sure this will be an improvement of services, though it's probably due for a good updating. Part of the announcement states "The BBC should no longer think of itself as a broadcaster of TV and radio and some new media on the side. We should aim to deliver public service content to our audiences in whatever media and on whatever device makes sense for them, whether they are at home or on the move."
