This week has been E3, which is the big party for all the people who make computer games. So quite a lot has happened:
The Playstation 3 will be coming out this November for around £350, a pretty hefty price tag even if it does appear to be the most powerful of the machines.
Microsoft is to release a HD DVD playing version of its Xbox 360 games console. This means you will be able to play the new supposedly better quality High Definition DVD disks on its console. Which will be in direct competition with the Sony PS3 which will instead play Blue Ray Disks0 (different type of High Definition DVD).
Nintendo in the meantime is saying its games console Wii (still a silly name) will sell its console for a cheaper price than its competitors, and hopes its catalogue of games (including the latest game in the Legend of Zelda series the Twilight Princess and also the newest Mario game) will inspire gamers to choose them.
