Hi Guys I succumbed to the temptation and bought myself a shiny cute new iPhone. (Bye bye Overdraft)
My first impressions are wow it is so shiny and cute, and slim, and shiny and cute, and neat, and shiny and cute, and its powerful, and shiny and cute, and full of useful gadgets, and shiny and cute, and its an ipod, and did i mention its really shiny and cute!
For people who don't know here is a link explaining all the little things the iphone can do,
To explain in English it can:
be an ipod (a portable music player that downloads music straight from the internet, if you're in a wireless area you can download songs straight from iTunes to your iPhone without a computer),
it can conect to the internet (either through a wireless connection which is as fast as greased weazle poo or through the phone itself which isn't so fast - ps connecting to the internet doesn't cost anything)
Be a camera (very good pictures but no video recording)
Play videos straight from YouTube
Get google maps (so you can use it like GPS - or find where you are, search for the nearest takeaway and get your food)
Get your emails and answer them
It can even act as a mobile phone - hurray!
Overall its really good Thankfully considering its hefty price tag (£269 + Contract). But it is really nice to use. In terms of bling it is the coolest phone to have at the moment. There are other phones that can do similar if not more than the iPhone but none can boast being this easy to use, or nice looking.
All the applications I've tried have been really easy to use, (personally I wasn't too fussed on finding out the latest Stock reports but its nice to know i could if i wanted to.).
But its main strength is it's really fun to use. I found it very easy to pick up how to do things, not saying everyone will find it so easy but it is quite fun to use so I imagine people who buy it will enjoy playing around with it.
Should you go out an buy one? I imagine if you are a real geek like me you might have already done just that.
Is it expensive? Yes.
Is it fun to use? Yes.
Is it going to be this years must have Christmas pressie? Yes - well for grownups
Should you get one? If you are a geek, Yes, if you need it for business Possibly (Other phones can do similar to what the iPhone can but none will look as cool), If you just want a phone? No - save yourself the money, unless your loaded in which case go for it.
