For those wanting to buy singles in support of Liverpool's Number One Project, here is a handy guide I've prepared to help guide you through purchasing music online.
Downloading music from the internet can be really easy. In this guide I will talk you through downloading music from a site called 7Digital - it is an easy to use site which doesn't require you to install any programs such as itunes.
Word of warning - if you are using a work or school computer make sure you have permission to download songs before you do. Many companies have a clause about the misuse of computers, downloading songs without permission can get you in serious trouble.
How do I order downloads from 7digital?
1. Find the track or album you want to purchase. This can be done by browsing the website, or typing an artist/ song title in the search box
2. Select the download you wish to purchase by selecting the green plus button. As shown in the image below:
3. You will see the track get added to your basket. If you want to add more downloads to the basket then please continue shopping.
4. Once you have added all the downloads you wish to purchase to the basket you need to select 'Checkout'.
5. If you’re a member already sign in as usual, if you are a new customer select ‘I want to sign up’. As shown below
This will ask you a series of questions, and you will need an email address for this. This part is required
The next part allows you to supply further information to the site, but if you want to you can skip this step by clicking the link towards the bottom of the page.
Once you answer all the questions, you will be able to login and make a purchase.
6. Once you are signed in you need to choose a payment method and provide payment details.
The site states
You can pay by credit/debit card, we accept most major cards as payment. We also have Paypal and BT click ‘n’ buy as payment options.

7. After you have submitted this the order is complete and you will see the download listed in the locker area and you will be able to download it to your computer.

I've used 7digital many times and love it; apart from tracks in MP3 format, the locker feature is the winner for me. It always annoyed me that as soon as you had downloaded your music from iTunes you could never get it back, but 7digital's locker allows you to access it over and again from any computer. Bravo!
